Timber floor maintenance has been sadly neglected with very little information being available. You may have been told to give it mop and then in about 5 years have sanded and re-sealed.
Maintaining your timber floor is now easier and less costly. Instead of sanding the floor and treating your floor with a solvent based polyurethane finish every 5 years which you have to leave the house for 3 days. You now have your timber floor gently scrubbed using specialised detergents and then finished with a water based urethane sealer approximately every 3 years this saves you having your floors sanded for about 10 to 12 years.
